Blackpool Dance Competition II

Be it appropriated by a quorum of the Assembly of the Southern Utah University Student Association that $3,904 go to the Ballroom Dance Team for their Tour to Blackpool England in May of 2009 .
(a) Whereas; the Blackpool competition is the most prestigious international dance competition in the world, and
(b) Whereas; they would be representing our school, state and nation in the competition, and
(c) Whereas; twenty three company members would act as ambassadors and bring international attention to Southern Utah University, and
(d) Whereas; the benefits to school and community would far outweigh any cost, and
(e) Whereas; the reason that the original bill was vetoed was to split the cost between both legislative bodies.
Therefore let it be resolved that $3,904 be allocated to the Ballroom Dance Team
